A unique guide deals with the history of the building and gives an explanation of the esoteric symbolism, which in the city center, in a public place, has not yet survived six centuries. Against the background of the reign of the "last consecrated Holy Roman Emperor" Charles IV. brings closer the level of occult knowledge of the late Middle Ages and their artistic capture in the architecture, fine arts and urban planning of the whole city. Behind the founding of Prague, this book finds the legacy of one of the first closed initiation lodges, which also accepted laymen, the so-called Prague Brotherhood of Obruč and the Hammer, which was under the auspices of King Wenceslas IV, the son of Charles IV. The interpretation of symbolism makes it possible to date the origin of a building whose documentation disappeared in an unknown place, more precisely than the official historical literature. The symbolism of the Prague Astronomical Clock is interpreted by the author as a unique model of the cosmos and its unity with man as its image in the context of the European period. It also analyzes in detail the cosmological symbolism of the astronomical clock and the hidden motives of the creators of the architectural and artistic design of the astronomical clock. It shows how the knowledge of the universe and man, published by modern esoteric schools and movements, has already been captured by Greek and Egyptian mysteries, whose knowledge was spread throughout Europe at the end of the 14th century. He explains the construction of the astronomical clock in the context of the place and time of its origin. It describes the Carolingian concept of Prague not only as the secular metropolis of the world, the seat of the emperor called the second Constantine, but also as the spiritual imprint of Heavenly Jerusalem, a city posthumously promised to Christians. Using the example of the figures of the twelve apostles, he then gives the broadest context of initiation history in the Christian world. The Old Town Astronomical Clock guide follows the legacy of such authors as the famous alchemist Fulcanelli to the spiritual heritage of many Czech historians and modern authors of works on esoteric teachings, such as David Ovason. The interpretation of the esoteric symbolism of the building is based on the extensive work of anthroposophist Rudolf Steiner.
